My Collection, Swatched: Nina Ultra Pro Spun Sugar

Spun Sugar is a light pink/beige/cream color with a soft shimmer running through.  The shimmer is not visible on the nail, but adds some depth to the color.  Overall this is a great neutral color that leans a bit warm.  I would say this is very work appropriate, not something I am usually a fan of, but I love this color.  The formula is a bit thick, but very easy to work with and the color is opaque in 2 coats.  Honestly, I love this brand, and I wish I owned more of them.  Nina Ultra Pro is availabe at Sally Beauty Supply, and is pretty affordable.  They come in awesome colors, including lots of neons and duochromes.

Hello readers,
These are the polishes I picked up in the last 2-3 weeks.  I have made several trips to my local Sally's and I also went on vacation to the beach (of course I had to stop by a beauty store and pick up something- I managed to find lots of things I liked).  I will stop writing and instead show you the goods.  If you want to see any specific swatches first, let me know.

These are from the Orly Dark Shadows collection (L-R): Mysterious Curse, Decades of Dysfunction, Buried Alive, Grave Mistake.

From China Glaze Hunger Games (L-R): Hook and Line, Mahogany Magic, Smoke and Ashes, Harvest Moon.

OPI Pirouette My Whistle

Deborah Lippman (L-R): Almost Paradise and Footloose from the Footloose collection.

Deborah Lippmann (L-R): Dream a Little Dream of Me and Don't Tell Mama.

All the Deborah Lippman polishes were from HSN, on clearance.

Jessica (L-R): Malibu Chic, Shopping on Rodeo, Nails Gone Bare, Vinyard Pinot.

Movie Star, Sunshine, Shake Your Booty, (The teal base with holographic glitter was missing the sticker, does anyone know which one this is?)

Klean Color (L-R): Gold Shimmer, Neon Yellow, Holo Yellow

Klean Color (L-R): Chunky Holo Black, Blue Satin, Holo Blue

Klean Color (L-R): Aurora, Disco Ball, Sparkle Purple

Beach Nail Of The Day!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've had a ton of homework lately. Today I have for you the nails I wore to the beach. I used china glaze white on white for the base and then CG Seaspray and Essie Coate Azure for the gradient. I picked up the ocean themed stickers at Sally's last week, I believe they are still on sale if you wanna pick them up! Sorry for the poor quality of the pic, I had to use my phone as I did this manicure late last night and I was in a rush this morning. Yay beach! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Green Ombre with Kleancolor

Hey everyone, Happy Sunday!  Today I am sharing an ombre mani from KleanColor.  I used all the colors from the Green Addicts Mini Collection.  I picked up this set recently at Ross because I thought they would work great for this type of manicure.  Scroll down to see how it turned out.

The colors (L-R): Green Grass, Mystic Grass, Jazz Olive, Melon Green, TLC, and Starry Meteor.

And then I added the glitter to the ring finger.  The glitter has holographic round glitter and bar glitter.

The application was great for all of these colors except the neon color called TLC.  That one was a bit streaky and thick.  The formula on this was fine, although I did get a few dents in kelly green color called Grass Green.

You can purchase this set on the brand's website here.

My Collection, Swatched: Julep Olivia

Julep Olivia is a dark brown creme polish with a glossy finish.  I don't know if it was just my bottle, but the formula on this one was not as nice as all my other Juleps.  This one is goopy and thick and difficult to work with at times.  It kept pulling at the nail bed each time I applied another stroke and looks uneven even after topcoat.  Other than that, it is a gorgeous color.  I am partial to dark browns, I own a lot of them because they were accumulated during my quest for the perfect brown (which I am still looking for).  The following pictures are 2 coats of polish with base coat and top coat.

My Collection, Swatched: Julep Demi

Julep Demi is a dark, blackened red.  It is very reminiscent of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, but more visibly red.  This color is the most amazing vampy red I have found so far, only because it actually still looks red, not brown.  Most of the other dark reds I own have a lot of brown, but this one is perfection.  The formula is great with this one, opaque in two coats.  This color frustrated me while photographing: it just would not cooperate.  The bottle image at the top is the most color accurate, while the other images came out a brighter red.  LOVE this color, perfect for fall/winter, although I would probably wear this anytime.

My Collection, Swatched: Julep Diane

Julep Diane is a dark, almost black, green color. It is a jelly finish; the only jelly finish I own.  The formula on this one was great, but it was a bit sheer so I applied three coats for the swatch.  Although application was a breeze, I am not a big fan of this color.   I love greens, but this one in particular is so dark that it looks like a black polish in person.  The images show a lot more green than in real life.

My Collection, Swatched: Julep Drew

Julep Drew is a deep berry fuchsia color.  This is a cream finish and applies so easily.  This color is very pretty, but nothing unique.  The color is darker than it appears in the images, sorry for that, my camera tries to brighten everything.  I originally thought this would be similar to Butter London Snog, but this is a bit darker, more deeper pink.  The formula was good, only needed two coats for opacity.

My Collection, Swatched: Julep Sienna

Julep Sienna is a metallic champagne, gold color. I am usually not a fan of this type of finish, but this color is gorgeous!  I love the metallic/foil finish on this one because it does not show too many brushstrokes.   I would recommend using a ridgefiller basecoat with this polish to get the most perfect finish.  The image shows two coats of the color, which is all you need for full opacity.  I fell in love with this polish once I went outside, it has a beautiful shine in sunlight.
