My Collection, Swatched: Zoya Phoebe (Day 2)

Happy 4th of July to everyone in the U.S.A.!  Hope you enjoy the holiday and see some amazing fireworks.  This will be my daughter's first Independence Day celebration, so I have an outfit picked out for her-can't wait to take some pictures.


Today I have another matte color for you!  This is Zoya Phoebe, also from the Mod Mattes collection, but unfortunately, I do not see this on the Zoya site anymore :( I picked a blue for today in honor of the holiday. 

The formula on this was good, I only needed 2 coats, the second to cover some patchiness.  The color is so great, a bright aqua blue.  The shimmer that runs through this gives it that velvet finish again, and it somehow makes this color glow.  I love it!  Again, this one does stain pretty badly, but so worth it.

Beach Nail Of The Day!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've had a ton of homework lately. Today I have for you the nails I wore to the beach. I used china glaze white on white for the base and then CG Seaspray and Essie Coate Azure for the gradient. I picked up the ocean themed stickers at Sally's last week, I believe they are still on sale if you wanna pick them up! Sorry for the poor quality of the pic, I had to use my phone as I did this manicure late last night and I was in a rush this morning. Yay beach! Have a wonderful Sunday!

My Collection, Swatched: Butter London Henley Regatta

Butter London Henley Regatta is a clear base with teal and green microglitter.  The glitter in this is sheer at first, but can be built up to full opacity.  The swatches show the difference in number of coats.  The index finger shows one coat, the middle finger two coats, and the ring finger three coats.  This does require a top coat for a smooth finish.

The glitter can either be applied lightly as a top coat over another polish, or packed on for full intensity.  As you can see, three coats does not cover completely, but you can try using thicker coats or adding another layer to cover the patchy spots.  Either way, this glitter is gorgeous and shimmers beautifully.  I have applied this over BL Bluey, and it looks great: adds a lot of depth and intensifies the shimmer.

My Collection, Swatched: Butter London Bluey

Butter London Bluey is a shimmery teal color with green microshimmer visible throughout.  The swatches show three coats of the polish with base and top coat.

 This is Bluey indoors with flash.  This is showing up more blue than teal.  In real life it leans a lot more green due to the microshimmer. 

This is outdoors without flash. Again, it is showing up a lot more blue in the picture. 

The formula on this polish is amazing, and layers for full opacity. The microshimmer is visible on the nail in real life, with all the different colors reflecting separately.  I have worn this under Butter London Henley Regatta, and it added a gorgeous depth to the color.
